Brazilian clubs will launch FIFA 18 with generic player names

It is almost sure that Brazilian clubs will launch FIFA 18 with generic player names and will not be included in FUT. Let’s find out why.

Brazilian Clubs in FIFA 18

Every year, there is a lot of speculation about if the Brazilian League will be full licensed in the new title and if the Brazilian clubs will include all the players or not. In fact, nothing will change in FIFA 18: Brazilian clubs will launch with generic player names, and will not be included in FUT. All 18 first division Brazilian teams will be listed in their respective league in the FIFA 18 menu, and a few second division teams will be found in the Rest of World Menu.

You may be asking why this is happening again and we will explain to you. In Brazil, unlike to what happens in most of the countries, you have to negotiate the image rights with each player and not with the clubs. EA made an agreement with the Brazilian clubs but not with the players to use them in the game. Since 2014, 54 Brazilian players are processing Electronic Arts and some of them already won thousands of dollars in court. It’s virtually impossible an agreement with all these players until the FIFA 18 release date, and for that reason Electronic Arts will not include the Brazilian clubs in FIFA 18.
